2021...ensemb star

ahhh yes. csp era. i actually did a lot of art in digital for the first half of the year, but it was all super inconsistent because one, default csp brushes just Were Not working out for me and two, my brain can't handle drawing with a giant monitor and everything being on the pc really messed with my motivation as well :( my little brother was always playing games on the pc so it was hard to do a lot of actually finished things.
january: mizuki again!! if you couldn't tell i was not able to keep the super detailed animeish style up because it was like jumping straight to super detailed without knowing how things worked in art in the first place... so a lot ended up looking real funky.
febuary: anhane!! i did a whole sheet of these cute lil vday drawings and when i posted it on twt i got like 10 likes which was a HUGE deal for me
march: enkidu from fgo! they had an upcoming banner so i tried to do a summoning ritual aka drawing them for a week straight but it Did not work :(
april: yanfei from genshin!! oh yeah around febuary i got really into genshin skull emoji. i used to run a yanfei rp fan account on twitter and it got me a bunch of interactions. i also used to post genshin animatics on my youtube channel and those still get comments on them haha... i also made a "what your fav ship says about you" video to prove a point that people have Very Warped values on what content thet consume on the internet or something and theyll click on this video instead of the animatics that took me 10x the effort and time. guess which video has way more views to this day.
may: yanfei again. one of my biggest inspirations during this period of time was carmand...i think you can def see that (lol)
june:fischl genshin! i dont have much to say about this one but i did try to take a more painterly or as much as a painterly approach that a kid whos only ever drawn anime can do
july: wataru enstars! ahhhhh oh boy. yeah my style got SUUUUUPER influenced by enstars as..you can tell... also this was a wataei because i thought they were real fruity when i started playing the game but i actually mildly dislike (VERY MUCH DISLIKE) wataei now so i cut eichi out
august: KANATAAAA!! my precious fish boy!! (also from enstars) ahhh one of my biggest inspos to this day is still ensyuu their kanatas and ideas r so fucking good
september: wataru hibiki again... ultimate blorbo... around this time for some reason my sketches were really slaying i could draw like 5 things a day. the power of enstar
october: omg this is still one of my fav sketches ever ahhhh :sob: it's natsume (still enstars) and the starts were supposed to be the other 5 eccentrics i am very fond of them hearts
november: kanata again not much to say here
december: tatsumi kazehaya!! lov him hearts this was for his bday and colored in ibispain (lmao)

2020 aka quarantine mental illness

EDIT: I also have a scratch project from this time!! shows some of the stuff here plus more ^_^ man i miss when i was the most popular kid in my coding class because i could make a decent platformer
idk why this is so crunchy....ummm anyways i think my family got a new pc this year and csp was on discount so i bought it!! except csp kept making my art kinda inconsistent... more on that next year... overall i think i improved a lot but looking back holy shit those are huge ass heads lmfao. i blame bandori fhkdjla. Oh yeah also this was my danganronpa era skull emojis.

may: sara from yttd!! i tried playing yttd and i liked it but it was too scary for me to continue playing :( omg also this was on krita!!
june: kaoru from bandori!! my first ultimate skrungly!! i love her so much hearts. i got super into bandori for a while and tbh thats probably the point where i was Very Chronically Online but def not mature enough to be online so. yeah.
july: chu2 also from bandori!! i think the bring it on cover permanently changed my brain chemistry (lol)
august: hatsune miku! i used to be super into this one artist who did watercolors like this, iirc their tag was jianrou on instagram? yeah that's right!! anyways they don't post watercolors all that much anymore and their page has a lotta genshin thirst traps now but im sure theyre making bank and i respect that so!
september: tsukushi also from bandori!! she was another one of my favs and this was another one of my first digital pieces! i remember saving a shit ton of progress pictures as seperate pngs and... i never do that now. I also remember making a pallette with all the colors i have ever used and i think i stopped doing that once i switched to doing digital art on my chromebook. more on that in 2022...
october: touko from bandori! this year instead of doing inktober i drew one bandori member each day and i think touko's was my fav. wow looking back i had a really angular looking style around then O_o
november: ahhh yes. mizuki from project sekai. so at this time i had this super shitty phone that definetely couldnt run prsk... so i ended up playing it on my dad's old super cracked phone and it was always really funny when i posted a pull bc you could hardly even see what i got (skull emoji) and that's probably why i never really had a solid prsk phase... i didn't get to play the game all that much :,) i just pop in and out every so often bc the story is great and mizuki is one of my fav characters ever. the drastic style change was due to this one artist that I found that had the most gorgeous style but ig they deleted all their social medias so i could only find their art on scanslations sites :(
december: this was a secret santa gift for my friend!! ahhh yes the annual secret santa... i remember being really inspired by these two artists for... the majority of this year

2019....hoo boy

this was the year that i started taking photos of my art so that's why i don't have anything listed on the january and febuary slots. uhh i prolly started drawing around 3 or 4 years before this? maybe. i think 2019 is the year i started actively trying to improve so that's cool!!! woohoo! um. as you can tell i was really into Those Three certain musicals at the time.........yeah. um. yup. thumbs up emoji. and anime. evidently. wow. what a year. wow you can def guess how old i am based on this lmfao
april: the first digital art i had ever done!!omg!! i think i got a tablet for 2018 christmas but i didn't really use it till later. i couldf have sworn i also drew lauren lopez!draco but i dont think i included it with the summary lol
